Acadiana Center for the Arts
The Acadian Center for the Arts in the heart of Downtown Lafayette functions as a cultural anchor for Acadiana. A facility of great architectural beauty with museum-quality gallery space, workshop and meeting areas, it is home of the Acadiana Arts Council, its administrative arm. Though the Center, as well as through outreach in arts funding and education, the Arts Council serves an eight-parish region with community development, education, performances and exbhitis.
Service to the community at large, to our artists and constituents is at the very core of our mission, both to bring a sense of identity to this region and to introduce our areato cutting edge trends in the arts from acrross the nation. In addition, we often facilitate and support the operations of other non-profit arts organisations and have a longstanding history of implementation, support and collaboration.
The Acadiana Center for the Artsis supported by a variety of entities and has operated as a self-suffiecient organisation with excellent stewardship of its resources for more than three decades. State and Federal funding combines with the local government support, patronage, memberships, a solid earned income strategy and corporate partners, to sustain a highly dynamic arts organisation
