Welcome the sun or bid it farewell. Balloon rides are offered at sunrise and about two hours prior to sunset. Reservations are taken for flights and GIFT CERTIFICATES are available.

The entire adventure lasts approximately three hours with the flight time lasting about one hour depending on friendly and safe landing sites. When you arrive at the launch site, you will be expected to sign an "Acknowledgement of Risk". Pilots will brief passengers how to best enjoy the flight and what to expect.
Passengers and others are welcomed and encouraged to lend a hand with the set up and inflation, as well as the post flight pack up of the balloon as many find this a very enjoyable part of the ballooning experience.
About Us
ACE HIGH BALLOONING WAS CREATED BY BOB GRIMES, A COMMERCIALLY LICENSED BALLOON PILOT SINCE 1977. HE TOOK HIS FIRST BALLOON RIDE IN 1973, THE SAME YEAR HIS NEIGHBOR WON THE FIRST WORLD HOT AIR BALLOON CHAMPIONSHIP.
BEING A COLLEGE STUDENT AT THE TIME WITH NO MONEY TO BUY A BALLOON OR PAY FOR LESSONS, BOB WORKED AND CREWED FOR HIS FLIGHT INSTRUCTION.
IN JANUARY OF 1979 BOB MOVED TO ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO TO WORK FOR WORLD BALLOON CORPORATION, THE LARGEST COMMERCIAL BALLOON OPERATION IN THE WORLD AT THAT TIME. FLYING SEVERAL CORPORATE BALLOONS ALL ACROSS THE COUNTRY, HE GAINED VALUABLE PILOTING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS SKILLS.
IN 1983, BOB WAS CHOSEN TO BE THE CHIEF PILOT FOR THE BUICK OLYMPIC BALLOON PROGRAM. AN EXTENSIVE EIGHTEEN MONTH TOUR THAT CULMINATED AT THE SUMMER GAMES IN LOS ANGELES.
ALONG WITH RUNNING A SUCESSFUL CHARTER RIDE BUSINESS, HE ALSO SUB-CONTRACTED WITH OTHER BALLOON COMPANIES FLYING COMMERCIAL BALLOONS FOR VARIOUS COMPANIES AROUND THE MID-WEST. BOB STARTED ORGANIZING SOME SMALL BALLOON FESTIVALS, SOME OF WHICH ARE STILL HAPPENING EVERY YEAR.
ACE HIGH BALLOONING MOVED IT'S OPERATIONS TO THE MIDDLE TENNESSEE AREA IN EARLY 2000. BETTER WEATHER AND ECONOMIC CLIMATE HAS PROVEN TO BE BETTER FOR MORE YEAR ROUND FLYING.
