Our History

The Ada Public Library was established on January 5, 1936. It was located in one room at the old City Hall. Three Years later, a new building was built. It was designed in Georgian Colonial style and is now the Ada Arts and Heritage Center, located at 14th and Rennie. In 1981, having outgrown the old library, the Ada Public Library moved to its current location at 12th and Rennie.

  • Juveniles must have parent's signature to use the internet.
  • Library Cards
  • Adult library cards may be obtained by showing proof of current address.
  • Juvenile cards are available for children between age 4-17. A parent must be present to obtain a juvenile card. (Restricted access to videos is available upon request.
  • Books and most other library materials are checked out for two weeks.
  • There is a five day grace period following the due date.
  • Videos and DVD's are checked out for 3 days with a one day grace period.
