Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1989, the Alden B. Dow Home and Studio is shared with the public through a tremendous amount of educational programming, public tours and researchers utilizing the Alden B. Dow Archives, the repository of Mr. Dow's architectural records. The Alden B. Dow Home and Studio is more than a museum, it's a national treasure.

Description

We hold daily tours Monday through Saturday at 2 PM, with additional tours taking place at 10 AM on Friday and Saturday. Starting February 2013 Tours are $7 for Students, $12 for Seniors, and $15 for Adults. The H&S is closed to the public every year during the month of January. The exciting tour through the 20,000 square foot structure takes approximately one and a half hours to complete. Call to reserve a spot in one of of tours to learn about Mr. Dow, his philosophy, and experience the home and studio where he worked and lived!

The Alden B. Dow Home & Studio is pleased to announce their 2013 Architecture & Design Camps! Have you been searching for summer camps for this upcoming summer? Consider Architecture Camp at the Alden B. Dow Home and Studio! There are three camps for incoming 4th, 5th, and 6th graders that will be June 24th - June 27th, July 8th - July 11th, and July 22nd - July 25th going from 9am to 4pm. These four-day camps give an introduction to architecture in an exciting hands-on experience here at the Home & Studio, with tours of other Alden B. Dow structures as well. The cost of Architecture Camp is $175.

Our new camp, Design Camp, is a concentrated three-day camp that runs from August 12-15 that will focus on design, materials, and construction. This camp is for incoming 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. Before coming, the campers will be able to choose from different project types to help them create an idea of what they want to design. The staff and professionals will help cultivate their ideas into reality and they will make a model of their ideas. This camp at the Alden B. Dow Home and Studio is for students who think outside of the box and want to share their creations.
