History

Robert and Rheda Hall, a young married couple, decided to make Albany, GA, their home in 1957 after completing their tour of duty in the Army at Ft. Benning.

Having enjoyed Putt-Putt golf on their dates in Columbus, GA, they were disappointed to find that Albany did not have a Putt-Putt. It was not long before they had contacted the home office in Fayetteville, NC, and obtained a franchise for an 18 hole Putt-Putt. The location where they found a rundown 18 hole miniature golf course was at the end of N. Slappey Blvd. They spent the remainder of the year renovating the course and finally opened for business in the spring of 1958. A couple of years later, they decided to open a second course. In 1972, the by-pass was to take a third of their courses. At that time, they decided to bulldoze the old courses and build a modern 3-course Putt-Putt (54 holes).

In 1982, video games were becoming very popular, so the Halls enlarged their building to accommodate 25 video games and a small concession area. When the games kept growing in popularity, the two expanded the game room two more times. The game room now accommodates over 70 games with kiddie rides for the smaller children.

Since then, the Halls along with Blackwell have added batting cages, bumper boats, go-karts, lazer tag, a virtual coaster, a large snack area, and nice facilities.

In December 2004, the Halls decided to change their name to the All American Fun Park, because they now feature other attractions in addition to miniature golf. Most recently, the All American Fun Park added a new attraction. The state-of-the-art bowling center opened on November 26, 2008. The local facility has entertained school, civic, and church groups as well as having thousands of birthday parties over the years. They are happy to provide a clean, wholesome place for families to come and enjoy an outing together and a great place for couples to come on their dates.

Activities

Golf

The All American Fun Park has two 18-hole miniature-golf courses. Enjoy lovely scenery at all times of the year, and learn about our animals and American symbols. Our courses are designed for both children and adults, so bring your whole family out!

Gameroom

The All American Fun Park has the largest gameroom/video arcade in Southwest Georgia. We have over 70 arcade games. From racing, to hunting, skee-ball, and basketball, there is a game for everyone. Win tickets and get prizes at the redemption center!

Laser Tag

Welcome to Space Quest Lazer Tag! The All American Fun Park has a massive black light arena, where the adventure begins in an exciting game of lazer tag. The game is set up with two teams, a red team and a green team. Each team has a base that the other team is trying to score on, and each team member wears a vest with lazer sensors on it. While tagging the base is the best way to score, team members may also tag the opposing team for points. This activity is recommended for ages 7 and older, because many young children do not comprehend the directions of the game. Another reason for the age recommendation is that our vests are all "one size fits all", so they may not be comfortable for small children. There is a five-minute briefing to explain the game, and the game itself is ten minutes.

Blaster Boats

Get wet at The All American Fun Park! Try the blaster boats, but watch out for that squirting alligator and the waterfall! There is a height requirement to ride. You must be 44" tall to ride this ride; however, an adult with a driver's license may ride with a child who is able to sit up by himself. Sorry, no pregnant women may ride this ride.
