The American Italian Museum is located within the American Italian Cultural Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. The museum tells the history of American Italians in the Southeast and their contributions to all areas of our daily lives through photographs, articles, family histories, and memorabilia by themes such as Societies and Festivals, Music, the Immigrant, Geneology, Personalities, and much more.

The American Italian Cultural Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, preserves the American Italian culture by offering Italian language courses, concerts, events and trips to Italy as well as promote other American Italian organizations and their events. It is also home to the American Italian Museum & Research Library.

Joseph Maselli was a catalyst for countless American Italian activities in the community, founding the first state-wide organization of American Italian activities in the community, founding the first state-wide organization of American Italians that later became the Italian American Federation of the Southeast, an umbrella organization with over 9,000 members in states: Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
