The Friends of Angel Mounds, Incorporated has been in existence since 1982 and is a tax deductible, 501(c)3 organization which provides funding and volunteers for a wide variety of Angel Mounds activities. With a mission to promote the preservation and development of, and interest in, Angel Mounds State Historic Site as an educational and cultural facility, the Friends of Angel Mounds (F.O.A.M.) is an important asset to the past, present, and future of the site. GIFT SHOP:
The Friends of Angel Mounds operates the Angel Mounds Gift Shop. All shop profits are invested into the betterment of Angel Mounds State Historic Site. The gift shop features one-of-a-kind works of Native American art, as well as reproduction items, that celebrate Native American history and culture. F.O.A.M. memberships may also be purchased in the gift shop, which is open during regular Site business hours. For product availability or to inquire about purchasing a membership, call 812/842-0825.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
F.O.A.M. members help to make possible many special events at Angel Mounds State Historic Site. Friends Members receive special invitations to events, exhibitions, and behind-the-scenes tours. Friends Members are also provided with the first opportunity to volunteer at events at the site.
