Appalachian is family owned and operated, and the pride of ownership is reflected in the quality of our facilities and the substantial annual reinvestment in the resort, as well as the resort owners' daily oversight of thousands of important operational details. Appalachian Ski Mtn. strives for excellence in all areas of our resort, but most notably in our renowned ski & snowboard instruction, the quality and quantity of snow on the slopes, our top-rated terrain parks, our daily-prepared food specials, our extensively stocked ski shop & gift shop, and even our restrooms.

One of our foremost goals is to maximize each guest's time on the snow by minimizing the wait in line for tickets, equipment rental, or food.Every one of our 300 staff members is personally interviewed and hand selected by the ski area ownership in order to provide our guests with the best quality experience possible. Two thirds of our staff return each season.
