Art Pannonia
ORIGIN OF THE NAME: Pannonia:
When the Romans conquered southern and central Europe in the 1st century, they renamed all the territories: Hispania, Gallia, Noricum, Pannonia, Dacia, etc. Pannonia was essentially what is now western Hungary, part of Austria and Croatia. The name is often used in Hungary for various sites and cultural establishments.
