More than thirty-seven years since its inception, the Backstage Theatre is still thriving, still a vital part of this community, still doing what it does best - providing entertainment, educational opportunity, and artistic excellence to our patrons and performers.

The Breckenridge Backstage Theatre enriches, educates and entertains Summit County residents and visitors by letting them participate in and experience the joy of live theatre. Our passion is to inspire the community to embrace the performing arts and to expand their involvement with the theatre.

In 2020, we remain the much-loved community theatre and are the highly-acclaimed professional theatre in Summit County. Our intimate relationship with the Town of Breckenridge, along with the generous donors of the Leadership Council, allow us to be the cornerstone of the Breckenridge Arts District with state-of-the art facilities. The theatre is passionately operated by professional staff, dedicated volunteers and a highly involved Board of Directors.

Backstage Theatre is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, and as such, your Community Support is critical to our success.

With annual funding from the Town of Breckenridge, The Summit Foundation and patrons like yourself, we are excited to provide you with an exemplary community theatre experience year after year.
