BancorpSouth Arena

The BancorpSouth Arena attracts capacity crowds and quality events because of its prime location in the heart of the Mid-South. The Mid-south Market covers all or part of 1,142 counties in 16 states, including major U.S. growth markets of the Sunbelt region and traditional markets of the industrial Midwest.
The Mid-south Market encompasses a population of more than 51 million and 76 metropolitan areas, and is expected to continue in its population growth. Tupelo - due to its strategic location and quality transportation network - provides excellent access from major market centers of the South, Southwest, Midwest and East.
History
Built in the heart of the Mid-South, our state-of-the-art facility is designed to accommodate events that demand comfort, convenience and flexibility.
The BancorpSouth Arena consistently hosts the largest meetings and best performers by offering the highest quality facilities and services.
From our spectacular Grand Opening on October 9, 1993 hosted by Bill Cosby to the present, the BancorpSouth Arena continues to be a favorite stop among artists.
We have hosted numerous entertainment events boasting sell out crowds. Artists such as James Taylor, the Eagles, Van Halen, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Nickelback and Aerosmith all have played the BancorpSouth Arena drawing capacity crowds. The building is so "artist friendly" that Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Reba McEntire and Alan Jackson have all booked the facility for weeks of rehearsal. This type of business pays compliment to the BancorpSouth Arena, as well as the entire city of Tupelo.
The BancorpSouth Arena has also been nominated for many prestigious awards since its opening. In 1994, the facility was nominated for Best New Major Concert Venue in Pollstar Magazine. That same year Performance Magazine nominated BancorpSouth Arena as Best New Facility (7,000 to 12,999 seats) and Best New Facility overall. Many artists prefer our theatre configuration of 4,500 seats.
