"Being on the water in the Barnstable Harbor makes me appreciate the wilderness quality of this place. There is so much wildlife around Barnstable Harbor area, but it is rarely seen except from the water. I'm excited to provide an educational and entertaining view of this amazing wealth of nature."

Ken Morton, Naturalist

Ken Morton spent summers in Barnstable when he was growing up and has been a year round resident since 2000. He's been exploring the harbor, Sandy Neck, and the Great Marsh all his life. His primary interest with respect to tours of the harbor is the avian wildlife, where he has been studying the shorebirds, wading birds, terns and gulls for six years. Ken is a trustee of the Sandy Neck Lighthouse and is a student of the natural, colonial, and recent history of Barnstable Harbor. He is a past Board Member of the Barnstable Historical Society and a current member of the Board of Advisors for the Friends of Barnstable Harbor, an organization whose mission is the long-term stewardship of the harbor.
