Thank You! Your rating has been saved.

Our History:

The Batesville Area Arts Council (BAAC) was formed in 1988. The objective was to provide a unified voice for several community art organizations. In 1998, the BAAC on Main Street Art Gallery was opened at 246 E. Main Street to provide a venue for visual artists in the community. The space for the gallery is generously donated by the Fitzpatrick family, owners of Heuer's Family Shoes. The Arts in Education program and the BAAC on Main Street Art Gallery are under the direct supervision of the BAAC Board of Directors. The Batesville Community Theatre, Batesville Symphony League, and North Arkansas Dance Theatre are autonomous organizations and have their own boards of directors.

Our Vision:

The long-term goal of the BAAC is to develop an arts center in the area to house and maintain art interests and opportunities for various art organizations within the community.
