Welcome to the Indiana Wesleyan University Division of Art, a thriving and dynamic visual arts program that offers 11 majors and two minors to more than 300 art students. IWU is one of the largest art programs within the CCCU (Council for Christian Colleges and Universities). Although a large program, you will find that studio classes have a target cap of 15 students. This encourages meaningful faculty/student interaction. Grounded in a faith-based biblical learning environment, the program challenges students to engage in critical consciousness of broad intellectual, social and cultural issues in addition to traditionally recognized principles of art instruction.
The Art program encourages students to integrate their Christian faith as they develop their individual talents. Having a faith-based approach to learning is a motivation to excellence. Students are rigorously challenged to develop their analytical, creative and visual skills while committing themselves to becoming exemplary world changers.
