Main Street's Mission-Seek to enhance downtown vibrancy and historic preservation by using the National Trust Main Street Center's Four-Point Approach of organization, design, economic development and promotions.
Main Street's Vision- To preserve downtown Beeville's rich history as a community-gathering place whose dynamic economy invites residents and visitors.
About the Main Street Program
The program is part of the Texas Main Street Program run by the Texas Historical Commission. Beeville became an official Texas Main Street City in 2006. It also is affiliated with the National Trust Main Street Center run by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
The Main Street Four-Point Approach to downtown revitalization within the context of historic preservation has been successful in more than 1,200 towns and cities across the country.
The Main Street program also makes the following services available to downtown businesses:
Design assistance such as architectural site visits
Interior design and window display assistance
Visual merchandising assistance
