Berks County Heritage Center

The Berks County Parks & Recreation Department is charged with the development, operation, and maintenance of all the County-owned Parks, recreation facilities, and historic sites. The Department is responsible for providing recreational opportunities as well as addressing the interpretive and educational needs as related to these facilities.
We have 13 parks for you to visit and enjoy, including Gring's Mill Recreation Area, the Union Canal Walking & Bicycle Trail, Kaercher Creek Park, Antietam Lake and the Berks County Heritage Center. (No Pets allowed, except Antietam Lake- See ALL Rules & Regulations.)We offer recreation and educational programs year-round. Whether you enjoy summer concerts in the park, festivals or historical programs, we have something for everyone of all ages!
