The Library System serves its users through a variety of educational materials, programs, activities, and events for adults and youth. These are designed to encourage the use of the Library's resources to develop and nurture a life-long habit of reading.

Our Mission

The mission of the Blue Earth County Library System is to provide access to resources, services, activities and information of local interest that encourage life-long learning in a cost-effective manner.

Rural Blue Earth County residents will see enhancements to library services come January 2, 2013. Input from citizens and communities helped formulate plans to provide patrons with service delivery that will be more convenient, timely and cost efficient. The Blue Earth County Library System will continue providing services for communities in all areas of the County through the utilization of US Mail, online services and mini-library sites located in communities.
