Yoga benefits both the body and mind. Working with yoga poses (asanas) increases flexibility and strength, along with muscle tone and balance. Internally, yoga poses help cleanse and nourish the various systems of the body, including the nervous system and digestion. As the movement of the physical body begins to follow the breath a quiet state of mind emerges. Refining the breath will lead to a peaceful, centered mind supported by a stronger physical body.
