Our Mission:

To provide our guests with acres of fun, unique experiences and memorable farm adventures while increasing the awareness, understanding and appreciation of agriculture.

About Our Farm:

Busy Barns Adventure Farm LLC began in the fall of 2008 when we grew 550 mums and over 3 acres of unique pumpkins and gourds. We hosted a "Mum Field Tour" weekend followed by a 2-day "Harvest Festival". These two events allowed our family to recognize that we thoroughly enjoyed having guests out to our farm to visit the animals, walk the gardens, play and learn about agriculture.

After a full winter of planning and an extremely busy spring and summer of building we were excited to unveil our new adventure farm! In 2009 we dismantled, re-located and re-built a 30x60 foot arch barn. This restored traditional basement style barn called our 'Play Barn' houses the main straw play area with a 20' tunnel slide, puppet theater, simulated milking cow and more. It is a breathtaking structure that we are proud to showcase.

For the 2010 fall season we built a brand-new 'Animal Barn' and a beautiful 'Little Barn'. We supplied the farm structures with water and electricity and constructed a unique silo gazebo. In addition, we relocated 3 remarkable corn cribs from a neighboring farm that house our poultry.

In 2011 we opened in the spring for our first annual Bunny Bonanza. The event included a hayride to the egg hunt field, baby farm animals and of course the Easter Bunny. We constructed an amazing new goat play area that features a two story tall goat tower with a suspension bridge.

In 2012 we began to offer the barns and our acres of adventures to groups for special events. In addition to our birthday parties, we hosted graduation parties, class and family reunions, baby showers and a handful of weddings. In the fall we proudly opened our new 'Bee Barn'. The Bee Barn houses a four-frame honeybee observation hive and neat educational exhibits on this important agricultural insect.

Everything at the Busy Barns Farm is built or grown by our family. Each year we continue to add new and educational adventures. Please visit this spring and fall to see what's new for 2013!
