CAJUNDOME
The CAJUNDOME is a multi-purpose facility that will enhance the entertainment quality of life and the economic vitality of Greater Lafayette by attracting concerts, family shows, sporting events and conventions while operating within the $500,000 operating subsidy provided by Lafayette Consolidated Government.
The CAJUNDOME was built by the State of Louisiana, funded by the City of Lafayette, and owned by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. On a daily basis the facility interacts with individuals in each of these three governmental entities.
The commission that oversees this operation is comprised of a five (5) member board and are appointed as follows: Dr. Joseph Savoie, The University President; DeWayne Bowie, a representative for the University; Jean-Paul Coussan; Dr. Paul Azar and Mr. Mark Moreau, two appointees of the Lafayette Consolidated Government.
