Mission Statement
The mission of the Centralia Regional Library is to ensure access to information for all, provide the resources and services for lifelong learning and enjoyment, offer space and opportunities for people to gather and connect, foster a love of reading in young and old alike and enrich the quality of life in the community.
Who We Are
The Centralia Regional Library District consists of the Main Library in Centralia and four branches located in Hoffman, Irvington, Odin, and Sandoval; and is a member of the Illinois Heartland Library System, one of two library systems in the State of Illinois. The Centralia Regional Library District includes the townships of Centralia, Brookside, Grand Prairie, Irvington, Raccoon, Sandoval, Odin, and the portion of Carrigan Township within the Sandoval School District. Odin School District and the Village of Hoffman are also a part of the library district. This area encompasses parts of four Illinois counties: Marion, Clinton, Jefferson and Washington. The library district's main offices are located at the Main Library in Centralia, Illinois which is approximately 70 miles east of St. Louis, Missouri.
The Centralia Regional Library District provides free services to all residents living within its boundaries. At this time the population of the district is approximately 29,000.
