The Chapman Historical Museum presents the history of the Glens Falls - Queensbury community and its connection to the Adirondack region.

The Chapman Historical Museum is a restored house museum featuring furnishings and historical artifacts depicting life in Glens Falls, New York, USA during the late 19th century. The museum is owned and operated by the Glens Falls/Queensbury Historical Association. The home that houses the museum was originally built by Zopher DeLong and restored in 1968.

Our Mission

The Chapman Historical Museum presents the history of the Glens Falls - Queensbury community and its connection to the Adirondack region. By encouraging discovery, understanding, and appreciation of the region's heritage, the museum provides perspective for the present and the future.

To accomplish this purpose the Chapman Historical Museum:

Presents exhibitions and programs that encourage greater understanding of the area's history.

Collects and preserves artifacts and archival materials that document the unique history of the area.

Maintains a research center that provides public access to the museum's collections and archives.

Disseminates historical information about the area through publications and electronic media.
