Chateau Lasgoity Winery

Thank You! Your rating has been saved.

Chateau Lasgoity (pronounced las-goi-t?") is a small winery located in Madera, California producing hand crafted table wines from fruit grown in Madera and the San Joaquin Valley. The winery is owned and operated by John and Alyson Lasgoity with a little help and hindrance from their four children. Nestled in the Lasgoity "Home Ranch," the winery sits placidly in the middle of a vineyard across from the home built in 1906 by John's great grandparents where the winery owner's family resides today.

The winery is operated by John and Alyson Lasgoity. In addition to the many tasks associated with such, we are also raising a family of four children and farm and raise livestock commercially on the West side of Madera and Fresno Counties where we grow wine grapes, alfalfa , dryland wheat, lamb and wool.

Alyson is a credentialed grammar school teacher who graduated from Fresno State University but is currently doing the far more important job of family raising and household management. John graduated from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), San Luis Obispo with a B. S. in Agricultural Management and also attended Loyola University Rome Center in Rome, Italy for one semester. Three out of the four kids now attend St. Joachim School in Madera. Winemaking was learned through the University of California Cooperative Extension Service through various classes offered at the U. C. Davis campus and also from being a home winemaker for 12 years before Chateau Lasgoity Winery was started in 2000.

Our facility is available for your private party rental and can comfortably fit 60-80 people. Please contact us to inquire for more information.
