Cherokee Golf and Country Club
About Our Club
The club had eight founders who originally established it as a nine hole course. The founders of the club included Ed Graves, Sr., John Pickett, GusHenderson, Joe Holmes, Stoval Trawick, Tom Mullen, Bill Mundy, and Herbert Edwards. Norman Summers, a golf pro from Council Bluff, Iowa and a friend of founder, Ed Graves, Sr., laid out the original nine holes. His fee - only his expenses for coming down to Georgia. The course was expanded to 18 holes in 1970. M.L. Langston was the first pro to run the club.
Today, the Club measures 6,806 yards from the Blue Tees, and has 4 tee distances to select the challenge you desire. The club offers tennis courts, swimming pool, club house and dining room in addition to the spacious golf course.
