You loved Chicago so we are serving up another round of Kander and Ebb with our show The World Goes ‘Round. This rousing, highly-infectious musical features a sparkling collection of songs from Chicago, Cabaret, Funny Lady, Kiss of the Spider Woman and New York, New York coupled with witty comic numbers that will certainly entertain audiences.
The Porthouse hills will be alive with the most beloved sing-along musical, The Sound of Music. This show captured my heart at a young age. In the first grade I understudied the role of Gretl. In the fourth grade I played Marta. The next year I auditioned for Brigitta. The following year I surpassed the role of Liesl but the good sisters at St. Nicholas School determined that I would NEVER sing Maria! So four decades later, I finally have the opportunity to realize my dream! No, I will NOT be playing Maria, but I will be directing this show and the beautiful Kayce Cummings Green, (You may remember her as Annie from Annie Get Your Gun) who will be returning to Porthouse and spinning her magic as she brings Maria to life!
So spend summer 2012 with us as we "SEE A LITTLE HEAVEN AND RAISE A LITTLE HELL!" Thank you for your wonderful support last summer. It was the joy of a lifetime to be on the stage as Dolly Levi. I look forward to returning to my position as director and greeting you all before the shows! Be well this winter and come back home to Porthouse healthy and happy! Until then, I will miss you!
