Crow River Winery

The Crow River Winery and vineyards is one of the premiere Minnesota Farm Wineries, located 2 miles east of Hutchinson, Minnesota, in the middle of the Crow River Watershed on the edge of the great Minnesota prairie region.

Since we began our project in 2004, the Crow River Winery staff has nurtured four vineyards near Hutchinson, growing Minnesota Cold Climate grapes. We practice sustainable agriculture while growing grapes and hard neck garlic and keeping bees.

Locals and visitors have adopted the winery as a favorite venue for celebrations. It has beautiful facilities for weddings, anniversary parties, corporate events, fundraisers and all types of community revelry. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Crow River Wine Region Vineyards

In the Midwest, there are precious few places like our vineyards located in the Crow River Wine region. The Crow River watershed was defined by the Des Moines Glacier 15,000 years ago during a major climate warming. The deposits of glacial till and gravel left the Crow River Region covered with rolling hills and wetlands on the edge of the great American prairie. Our stony clay slopes cover deep glacial gravel till, giving the vines a well-drained environment which we irrigate with mineral rich well water, pumped from the Jordan aquifer 200 feet below.

The Crow River Winery operates four individual vineyards around Hutchinson. Each vineyard has a unique soil type, drainage and wind pattern. Each vineyard contributes something unique to the winemaking process.
