Dayton Visual Arts Center
Privacy Policy
We want to keep you informed, not bug you! The Dayton Visual Arts Center collects contact information for the purpose of serving our members and communicating with our funders about the organization's public value. DVAC notes your address, phone number and email so we can provide you with information about events and exhibitions. On your membership form, you may choose whether your contact information is shared with others via our members' directory. You may choose to be removed from our email update list at any time via a link provided with each update. All information collected via the Internet is routed through Kintera, a secure server created to serve the nonprofit community. If you have questions about our privacy policy, please contact us.
Diversity Policy
The Dayton Visual Arts Center (DVAC) welcomes all individuals and groups who wish to learn and grow through contact with the visual arts. This organization is open to all persons, without regard to race, creed, color, national origin, gender, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, or physical, mental, or medical disability.
Exhibition Policy
A three-person jury of visual art professionals from outside the Dayton area reviews proposals from curators and artists during the Biennial Call for Entries; their recommendations will go to the DVAC's Board of Trustees. Although DVAC is a member-based organization, non-members are encouraged to apply to the biennial call for entries. While DVAC promotes local and regional artists through its programs and services, there is no geographic limit as to who may have an exhibit in the gallery. DVAC actively seeks an audience for the work it shows. All printed materials and media releases will be prepared by DVAC. Exhibitors are expected to provide a complete resume, artist statement and images of work to be shown within 10 days of when these materials are requested.
