Double Door Inn
Established in 1973 and recognized as the "Oldest Live Music Venue East of the Mississippi", the Double Door Inn oozes musical tradition. Looking at our walls, packed with 35 years of autographed photos, has been described as being like "viewing a timeline for live music in the Queen City". Also holding the title "Oldest Blues Club In The U.S. Under Original Ownership", the Double Door Inn strives to bring the best in local, regional, and national touring and recording artists to the discriminating music lover. Legendary performers like Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Dave Alvin, Leon Russell, Buddy Guy, Junior Brown, Bob Margolin, and others, have graced the stage of our historic and intimate venue. Friendly staff are always willing to share the stories that go along with those performances while serving up the coldest beer in Charlotte. Come enjoy performances by artists covering genres A-Z... Afrobeat to Zydeco, with Blues, Electronica, Funk, Jazz, Rock, and all the other letters squeezed in between. Check our concert calendar for what may be the next legendary performance at "the little white house at the corner of Charlottowne and Elizabeth".
