Downtown Auburn

Thank You! Your rating has been saved.

Downtown Auburn is where the city meets Auburn University. The neighborhood is bustling 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, with all kinds of restaurants, shops, and everyday services. It's a place where everyone from young kids and growing families to crazy college students and distinguished Alumni go to relive old memories or make new ones.

Downtown is definitely a pro- business community, and the City Council and Planning Commission are in the process of revamping the development codes to make things more accommodating for both businesses and those looking to redevelop with higher density projects.

About Downtown Merchants & Property Owners Assoc, Inc.

The Downtown Merchants and Property Owners Association, Inc., (commonly referred to as the Downtown Merchants Association or DMA) was chartered many years ago to provide a framework for collaboration and positive action among the businesses and property owners in Downtown Auburn, Alabama. Since early 2009, the group has been refocused and recharged, and is stronger than ever.

We have a good relationship with the City of Auburn and we are recognized by folks in groups all around the city as enthusiastic advocates for a stronger, more vibrant downtown. Auburn is a great community, and with Auburn University anchoring one end of our downtown, we know will always have a good level of cultural and economic vitality in our neighborhood. But that doesn't mean we are satisfied either.
