Downtown Dance Theater

Downtown Dance Theater is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community dance company. Our first production was The Nutcracker Ballet in December2010, and we had individuals performing from 3 area studios (Lakeway School of Ballet and Dance, Diamond Dance, and Trinity Performing Arts Center) and the community at large.

For our 2011 production, we added another participating studio (East TN Dance Academy), for a total of 4 area studios. For our 2012 production, we have students from the 4 previous studios, as well as Elizabeth Williams School of Dance, Expressions Performing Arts Studio, Newport School of Dance & Cheer, and Turning Pointe, We are thrilled that our 3rd Annual Community Nutcracker will showcase talent from 8 area dance studios as well as the general public!

The purpose of the Downtown Dance Theater is to give the young people of the Lakeway area a background in dance and the opportunity to perform, thus providing a source of education for the youth and cultural awareness to the community through the development of the arts.
