It will make your day!
Longview was built in 1923 and incorporated as a city in 1924. The town is the only "planned city" of the Twentieth Century, and was completely designed and planned out before construction even started.
Longview is designated a "Tree City, USA" by the National Arbor Day Foundation (NADF) and has earned the NADF Growth Award for excellence in community tree care. Longview Parks and Recreation maintains over 16,000 trees in our community.
