Library Mission Statement:
The E.G. Fisher Public Library builds community, offering all people in McMinn County a full range of resources needed to live, learn, govern, and work.
The library is a dependable source of reliable information and of challenging ideas that enlighten and enrich. The library offers materials in many formats that enhance leisure time and expand our knowledge of our world. The library encourages the love of reading and the joy of learning and offers the assistance people need to find, evaluate, and use electronic and print information resources that help us live successful and rewarding lives.
Computers for public use - The library is pleased to offer computes for the public to use to access the Internet, and for word processing purposes. We will be happy to assist you as time permits. You must present your library card & sign a registration form to use the computers. There is a one hour time limit if other patrons are waiting.
-We offer public Internet computers (for residents of McMinn County, a library card in good standing is required).
-We offer a self-service copier and fax services. Copies are $.20 per page. To send a fax is $1.00 per page (we do not charge for cover sheets). To receive a fax is $.50 per page.
-The library offers WiFi as well.
Children's Programs
The Library offers preschooler storytime programs and a LAPSIT storytime for toddler's throughout the year. The Summer Reading Program encourages children to "connect" with books and the library through an active program of storytelling and activities for preschoolers through teenagers.
