Welcome to our new ElizabethParkCT.org website. This year to commemorate their 35th year of restoring and maintaining the gardens in the park, the Friends of Elizabeth Park voted to rename their group, Elizabeth Park Conservancy. As a small organization with big goals for Hartford's premiere park, we acknowledge our role has evolved into one that speaks to the past, present and future of this great urban greenscape.

We look forward to engaging and collaborating with the city, our neighbors, corporations and garden and park lovers everywhere.

As I complete my first whirlwind year with the Conservancy, I find myself mimicking the gardens outside my window. We are both getting ready to hunker down and do the important work this fall and winter that is so necessary for a successful 2013 spring and summer bloom.

OUR MISSION

Elizabeth Park Conservancy's mission is to preserve, restore and promote the Rose Garden and Elizabeth Park as a regional horticultural treasure for education and enjoyment today and for generations to come.

The Elizabeth Park Conservancy recognizes that we are stewards of a legacy, which includes an historic park and its centerpiece, the oldest municipally owned rose garden in the country.

We raise funds to support the gardens, staff, events, supplies and facility improvement through private and public fund raising efforts.
