The power of the fine arts to connect people, places and ideas is very apparent here at the Ellen Noël Art Museum. We have developed a significant reach throughout West Texas, to an area spread over more than 100,000 square miles, and our commitment to community-wide access has always been a core institutional value.

For the last 27 years, the Museum has developed hundreds of changing exhibitions and educational programs that are both inclusive and edifying. We encourage visitors of all ages and abilities to embrace seeing the world through different eyes?of widening their world view. The Museum provides family-centered learning and lively cross-cultural programing.

The Ellen Noël Art Museum is the premier arts educator of the region, serving the 81,000 students in area schools, many from traditionally underserved populations. Our K-12 programming not only exposes students to the fine arts, artists, and techniques, it also helps them develop critical thinking skills and introduces them to different cultures and new ideas. The Museum has become an important extension of our region's classrooms, but it has the special resources that only a museum can offer. All fourth and fifth grade students in Ector County ISD visit the Museum. They are provided with an intense educational experience, where exhibitions are used as a springboard to teach other subjects, like geometry, aerodynamics, world history, natural science, and other core subjects.

The Ellen Noël Art Museum has become a cultural jewel in our West Texas community. It continues to improve the quality of life for children and adults from Presidio to Big Spring, from Ft. Stockton to Andrews?and beyond.
