Empire Arts Center

Endearingly coined "a jewel in the heart of Greater Grand Forks," the Empire Arts Center is a non-profit, multi-purpose arts facility located in downtown Grand Forks, ND. Renovated in 1998, the Empire is a circa 1919 movie house renovated into a multi-use theater and gallery facility. The Empire hosts a variety of theater productions, performing arts, films, concerts, speakers, community events, and meetings throughout the year.

The Empire Theatre Company, under the artistic direction of Chris Berg, strives to bring unique, thought-provoking, contemporary, live theatre to the Grand Forks Community. ETC's mission is to engage audiences in an exchange of ideas that makes us think harder, laugh longer, feel more.

To promote culture and lifelong learning by presenting its own artistic programming while providing a distinctive, welcoming venue for the arts, businesses, and community of the upper Red River Valley.
