First United Methodist Church
EFUMC Welcomes You!
From every section of the city, people of diverse interests come to work and worship at First United Methodist Church. Military and civilian, new visitors and lifelong residents, young and old, all come together to help us provide a varied program for ministry here in Enterprise.
We believe that the church is the people, and our facilities and programs are granted to us to help meet the needs of people.
Traditional Methodist Worship
The Traditional Worship Services are held in our historic Sanctuary. Steeped in tradition and symbolism, the heart of First United Methodist brings people together every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Music Minister Rev. Billy Luttrell leads the chancel choir and congregation in song using the United Methodist Hymnal and special music programs. Notes from the pipe organ and grand piano fill the Sanctuary and are sometimes joined by traditional instruments such as the flute, violin, and hand bells.
Our Traditional Worship Service honors the formal order and setting of centuries of Methodist worship. Liturgists and young acolytes assist in the service with text readings and the lighting of the candles. The *Affirmation of Faith, The Lord's Prayer, and the Doxology are a part of each service. EFUMC's Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor take turns delivering the sermon and leading special events such as Baptisms and new memberships.
New Connection Service
First United Methodist Church offers a contemporary worship service every Sunday at 8:45 a.m and 11:00 a.m. Our Fellowship Hall is the perfect place for a more casual atmosphere, but we are certainly not casual about our worship! Live band music rocks the space as we sing our praises to God and fill our hearts with the joy of His presence. Children are always invited to clap and sing along and take part in readying our souls for the Word. Our Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor take turns preaching at each service after the little ones are dismissed for Children's Church.
Join us for coffee, juice, doughnuts and fellowship 15 minutes before the Contemporary Service begins. Wear your comfy casuals and a willing spirit to learn what God has in store for you!
