Fort Madison Area Arts Association
We know arts and cultural centers make communities more desirable places to live and work, and they help local economic growth. Founded in 1979 as a non-profit organization, Fort Madison Area Arts Association (FMAAA) plays a special role in our community. The FMAAA offers arts and cultural amenities that cultivate inspiration, enhance community pride, and strengthen arts appreciation and participation.
The Art Center offers a variety of educational opportunities for patrons of all ages.
Lunch á la Art - artist receptions offer discussions and learning
Early-out children's art classes - in coordination with the local schools' academic calendar, afternoon classes are offered periodically on "early-out" school days
Annual summer art camp for children - a four-day commuter camp for school-aged children featuring a variety of art mediums and professional instruction.
The Paula Howard House features an opportunity for artists to have a residence, while they make and study their creative works.
