Foul Play Cafe
Foul Play Cafe is located within the Sheraton Uptown Hotel, and is Albuquerque's premier interactive dining experience. The cafe blends a murder mystery play with a four course meal to provide a unique evening out. Shows are Friday and Saturday evenings, doors open at 7:00 PM, performance starts at 7:30 PM. The menu changes with each show, but always includes salad, chef's choice of soup, choice of entree (check here for our current menu), and a chef's choice dessert. Tea and coffee are included, cocktails and soda are available during the meal provided by the hotel.
The performance is a four act murder mystery play that occurs between meal courses and happens in and around your table instead of on a stage. Inevitably one of the characters is murdered during the show and it is then up to you to determine who did it and why. Actors remain in character while they serve the food and can be asked for clues and hints, though they may not always be straightforward with their answers. If you guess correctly, you have a chance to win a prize at the end of the evening.
The shows are meant to be fun and entertaining, but hardly serious. Make sure to bring your funny bone along for a good time and you're guaranteed an interesting evening out. Foul play Cafe offers the option of having us come to your location and perform at your event. Standard package does not include us waiting tables, but our actors can still work the room periodically depending on the event format.
Base Pricing Information:
- Final pricing is dependent upon the size of your event and the location.
- At this time we are limited to the Albuquerque Metro and surrounding area.
- $600 minimum, good for up to 100 guests. $5 per guest over the first 100.
- $100 discount for shows performed at the Sheraton Uptown.
- Distance fees apply (dependent on gas prices).
- Additional AV fees may apply depending on final headcount and room acoustics.
- Assistance coordinating with desired location available.
Standard Show Format:
- Our show is set up with 3 intermissions: 1 for soup/appetizer, 1 for main entree, and 1 for dessert.
- We can modify this given enough notification, but our shows are formatted to work best around an audience who are seated at tables, usually enjoying some form of food or refreshment.
- We do not recommend crowds larger than 150-200 (dependent on venue layout).
Booking Policy:
- We require at least 30 days notice to coordinate a show-to-go.
- Down payment required at time of signing contract agreement.
- Final Payment due 1 week prior to your event.
