Gull Wings Children’s Museum
Gull Wings Children's Museum was founded in 1986 by a small group of dedicated parents and educators in Oxnard, California. The first board of directors met in 1987, and the museum moved into a temporary facility in Downtown Oxnard in 1989. From its founding, Gull Wings has served as Ventura County's only children's museum.
The Museum serves 30,000 visitors per year in the approximately 6,000 square foot facility in Downtown Oxnard.
Our growing educational programs include regular story times to promote literacy; arts and crafts to instill a sense of creativity and imaginative thinking; music to encourage natural expression and movement; natural resource exploration; and directed education programs in space exploration, science, and coastal conservation.
