For over 20 years, Hartford Children's Theatre has made the children of Greater Hartford our greatest priority. HCT is Connecticut's leading provider of theatrical training and quality entertainment for children and families, offering diverse programming for over 7,000 children and families from the Hartford area and beyond. Award-Winning Family Main Stage Productions
Winner of two 2011 National Youth Theatre Awards, HCT produces five professional productions a year featuring the area's best adult and youth talent. Two productions tour directly to schools throughout the region as part of our HCT on the Road program.
Outstanding Year Round Drama School
The Education Department at Hartford Children's Theatre maintains an exciting array of year-round classes and workshops geared toward students 2 through 17 years of age. Each class is specially designed by our professional staff of teaching artists to provide challenging and fun activities that will advance self-confidence as well as artistic development.
Dramatic Outreach Program
HCT Teaching Artists provide exciting, on-site theatre arts classes to schools and community organizations throughout the state.
Hartford Children's Theatre's commitment to excellence has been honored by the American Alliance for Theatre and Education's with a prestigious Winifred Ward Award, the New England Theatre Conference's Moss Hart Award and two 2010-2011 National Youth Theatre Awards and an additional three nominations.
