High Feather Ranch Bed and Breakfast

Thank You! Your rating has been saved.

All the peace & quiet you can handle, just south of Santa Fe!

High Feather, a now archaic term, was in vogue in the late 1800′s:

The Christmas of '82, that is 1882, in a New Mexico gold mining town, was described this way. "The girls were looking their best, the music was enough to make a dead man dance, and the old sourdoughs and desert rats were making up for a year of hard and lonely work. It seemed at times as if the floor must surely fall in under the lively dancing. Everyone had been told to leave firearms at home, an order which was carried out for once. It is safe to say that no one present was inclined to put any slight on the hospitality. The company was in high feather."

We recreated this feeling of respite and relaxation for our guests in a secluded setting with luxurious Guest rooms. Find yourself surrounded by the rustic elegance of the Ranch house with forever views to 1000′s of acres of gorgeous High Desert and Mountain scenery.

Yet be only 15 miles south of Santa Fe and 40 miles north of Albuquerque just off the historic Turquoise Trail National Scenic Byway.

A peaceful and seemingly secure place still exists in this somewhat precarious and often confusing world. Let us help plan your Escape! to the Land of Enchantment and High Feather Ranch.

Let your spirit soar and your soul recharge:
