We are a Certified Organic farm (OR-OTCO-CO-09-02973) located in the beautiful Hood River Valley of Oregon that not only grows acres of lavender, but we also steam distill our lavender to produce pure essential oil of lavender. It is with this oil & flowers that we manufacture our own Bath & Beauty Products, including handmade Lavender Soap, Aromatherapy items, Organic Lavender Perfume, Lavender Culinary products and tea, and Dried Lavender flowers & More.
Hood River Lavender Farm consists of 3 Certified Organic farms located midpoint in the Hood River Valley of Oregon. Our 2.5 acre wholesale farm resides on the southern slope of the western part of the valley directly above the rushing Hood River. The entire farm is covered with landscape fabric which allows us to grow lavender free from weeds and competitive plants. Under this porous black fabric the ground absorbs the sun's heat, helping to keep the lavenders' roots warm and creating a clean warm heat for the plant. We have no need for herbicides or pesticides and use only organics for fertilizer. The result is a beautiful lavender field free from chemicals of any kind, plants with a high oil concentration, and a strikingly clean landscape that invites one to view and stroll through its beauty.
In the foothills of the majestic Mt. Hood, carved by glacier and water, lies the pristine Hood River Valley. Nestled in this lush Valley, Hood River Lavender Farm proudly resides on the volcanic slopes to display its beauty to all.
Nurtured by the abundant sunshine of Central Oregon, and fortunate enough to be watered by the nutrient and mineral rich glacial water of the wild Hood River, our Natural Lavender Farm is a wonder in itself. Standing in the midst of lavender one cannot help but be overtaken by the beauty of this landscape, the magnificent view of the Hood River Valley below, and picturesque vistas of both Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams.
Known across the world for the quality fruit the Hood River Valley and Columbia Gorge produces, this same chemistry of soil, water, altitude, and terrain make exceptionally superb Lavender. This high quality lavender is noticeable in the essential oil made from the plants, which we naturally steam distill and use in our products. Our Organic essential oil of lavender is very helpful for tension, headaches, migraines, tired sore muscles, insomnia, congestion, nerves, depression, physical & emotional stress.
