Idaho Water Sports
Established in 1987, Idaho Water Sports has become a leading provider of the most prominent brands in boating, marine services, and water and snow sporting equipment. Originally founded in Burley, Idaho as a bicycle shop, Idaho Water Sports has grown immensely since- opening a second location in Nampa, Idaho in 2002, developing an online storefront, and maintaining a large selection of sporting goods and luxury ski and jet boats. We now offer a wide range of water and snow sporting equipment, clothing, accessories, and specialize in Malibu, Skier's Choice, Nautique (at our Nampa location), Chaparral, Axis, Custom Weld and Thunder Jet, and South Bay Pontoon Boats . At both of our locations, we have professional marine service and repair shops operated by fully certified boat technicians.
Our mission at Idaho Water Sports is to provide the highest quality products while upholding positive, ongoing relationships with our customers. We pride ourselves on our friendly customer service and knowledgeable staff, whose aim is your personal satisfaction.
At Idaho Water Sports we strive to maintain a strong interaction within our community through sharing our passion for water sports with others. Every year we arrange for professionals to come to the area for instructional clinics on waterskiing and wakeboarding. We also offer multiple "demo days" for many of our products in order to let community members try out our kayaks, wakeboards, wakesurfers, waterskis and stand-up paddle boards and hopefully introduce people to a sport they may not have otherwise tried.
During the summer we host an annual wakeboard competition called Wake in the Snake, inviting competitors of all ages and skill levels to compete right here in Burley on the Snake River. Also, each winter skiiers and boarders come from all over to participate in our Rail Jam we host in our parking lot with snow trucked in from the mountain. Besides the chance to hit some rails, we always give away amazing prizes which generally creates quite the turnout!
Another event we sponsor is the Polar Bear Challenge, taking place annually on January 1st at Lucky Peak Reservoir in Boise, Idaho. Brave participants take a dip into the ice-cold water to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Hundreds of people plunge into the water, usually wearing wild costumes, and there are even a few daring souls who water ski or wakeboard behind boats we provide for the challenge. In 2011, we managed to raise more than $30,000 which was used to grant wishes to children of Idaho battling life-threatening medical conditions.
We have an extremely talented team of sponsored local riders and are proud to have them represent Team IWS at summer and winter sports competitions throughout the region. Their passion for the sports they participate in is what keeps the industry innovative and exciting.
