The park system includes three regional parks, three historic sites, two natural areas, and two bicycle trails. County parks are open year round. Park hours are sunrise to sunset.

Indiana County offers one of Pennsylvania's most progressive county park systems. Since 1967 county citizens have enjoyed an exceptional variety of natural resources at our county parks. Adventure and history on every trail...

Our regional trail system continues to grow to meet the needs of our residents and an increasing number of visitors from outside our area. The Ghost Town Trail is now 36 miles and the Hoodlebug Trail 10 miles. Efforts are well underway to link the trail system to the West Penn Trail and other trails within the region.

Our trails pass through scenic areas, historic sites like the Eliza Furnace and Buena Vista Furnace, state gamelands, recreation areas, and other natural attractions. The trails link communities, schools, parks, natural areas and businesses in an easily accessible route.
