Iron Mountain Lodge and Marina

Iron Mountain Lodge and Marina has been family owned and operated for over 30 years on beautiful wilderness DeGray Lake. Spreading over 130 acres, Iron Mountain includes DeGray Lake's only lakeside cottages, a full service marina, scuba air refills, water toys and boat rentals, and a spacious conference facility perfect for an Arkansas lakeside vacation or retreat.

Since the resort was in its infancy, the Egleston family, David and Vickie, have been the managing partners at Iron Mountain. Their children, Charles and Chrissy have grown up in the resort business working at the resort every summer.

In the beginning running the resort was fairly simple. David ran a small marina store, and looked over a few boat docks, storing around 70 boats. Vickie, a school teacher, continued to teach and they started their family. Today, they have a ships store, 17 cottages - including two new 3-bedroom 3-bath cottages in their new Skyline Ridge development - and they store more than 800 boats. In addition, they operate a fire, search and rescue boat for DeGray Lake.

David keeps very busy overseeing the operations of the resort, and Vickie handles guest services and housekeeping. (She gave up her teaching career years ago.) With the help of long time staff Karl and Bob, and their summer staff - which includes their two children, Charles and Chrissy - David and Vickie have built a reputation for Iron Mountain Lodge and Marina that makes it one of the finest lake resorts in Arkansas.
