Irvin L. Young Memorial Library

There are always new things happening at the Irvin L. Young Memorial Library!

The Library was also presented with several copies of the bank's history, which will be placed in the Whitewater Room with the rest of the local history collection. We greatly appreciate First Citizens' generosity and support!

Residents of the State of Wisconsin may apply for a library card by signing an application and presenting proper current photo identification. Information given is confidential; patron privacy is protected by WI Statute Ch. 43.30 except as limited by federal laws which supersede state laws. There is no charge for the library card.

The patron must have his/her library card whenever checking out materials.

The patron is responsible for all items checked out on his/her card. In the event that the library card is lost or stolen, the library should be notified immediately. If a patron has a change of address or name, these changes should also be reported as soon as possible.

Replacement cards will be issued with proper identification for a $3.00 fee. When the new card is issued the old library card will no longer be valid. Only one card will be issued to an individual at one time.

A parent or guardian must sign the application and card for anyone under 18 years of age in the presence of a library staff member. Once the library card is issued, juveniles have access to all materials of the library with the exception of audiovisual items. A parent or legal guardian must sign an additional Audiovisual Loan Agreement Form before a juvenile will be permitted to check out these media. If the parents wish the juvenile to be able to check out only some forms of audiovisual materials but not others, the parents must then assume the responsibility of checking these items out on their own cards rather than the juvenile's card.

Within reason, there is no limit to the number of items that may be checked out at one time.
