Jack & Priscilla Andonie Museum

Thank You! Your rating has been saved.

The Andonie Museum serves a very special purpose: to tell the story of LSU Athletics - and what a grand story it is! It's the hope of all those who have played a part in creating the Andonie Museum that you will visit, and in doing so, renew and strengthen your bond with this great University.

The impetus for the creation of the Museum was a donation to the LSU Alumni Association by Jack and Priscilla Andonie of a personal collection of LSU sports memorabilia. The collection contained in excess of thirteen thousand pieces with an appraised value in today's market of more than one and a half million dollars.

The Andonie Museum is committed to collecting and preserving not only sports related memorabilia, but also other types of artifacts and art objects significant to the history and development of LSU. In the last several years, numerous individuals have donated hundreds of items of historic, artistic, and nostalgic value to the Museum, thus increasing the richness and diversity of its collections. Such donations are greatly appreciated and will always be most welcome.

Here is another story worth telling! From June 2003 to February 2004, more than one hundred and fifty alumni, friends of LSU, alumni chapters, and corporations donated funds sufficient to totally finance the Museum's construction. This generosity is an indication of the overwhelming support the LSU Alumni Association receives from its alumni and the citizens of Louisiana.

When you visit the Andonie Museum, you'll look, listen, touch, feel, explore, discover, treasure, smile, laugh, and perhaps even shed a tear or two. Through photos, paintings, documents, artifacts, memorabilia, film, videos, computers, and games, you will become immersed in the history, heritage, traditions, and nostalgia of LSU Athletics. So come and join hands and spirit with thousands of other loyal Tigers to celebrate LSU Athletics and salute all those who have brought honor, fame, and glory to LSU!

The Andonie Museum offers an ideal setting for receptions, reunions, and other events. For information about booking special occasions at the Andonie Museum, please contact the Events Coordinator, Helena Brocato at (225) 578-3829 or by email at Helena@lsualumni.org.
