JANESVILLE COUNTRY CLUB
The Janesville Country Club has the distinction of being the sixth country club established in the United States, the second in the Midwest, and the first in Wisconsin. The club was founded in 1894 by Alexander Galbraith. He brought fifteen golf sticks, several dozen balls, and a sketchy knowledge of their use with him from Scotland.
The mission of the Janesville Country Club is to enhance the life of its members. With 118 years of tradition and experience, the Janesville Country Club offers championship golf, a full service outdoor pool, and outstanding dining and banquet facilities. We welcome new members that are seeking the best atmosphere and service available in the Janesville area.
GOLF IS THE TRADITION ON WHICH THE JANESVILLE COUNTRY CLUB WAS FOUNDED. We enjoy one of the oldest 18-hole championship courses in the nation. It is carefully maintained, wonderfully peaceful, and challenging for golfers of all levels. Because we are a private club, you can enjoy a round of golf on your schedule - with no tee-times and no waiting.
In addition to open golf, we offer many member golf events and tournaments throughout the year. We provide a complimentary driving range, golf equipment, on-site storage for your clubs, and private lessons through the on-site golf shop staffed by PGA golf professionals.

The pool season runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend each year. Hours are 11am to 10pm seven days a week; however they may fluctuate due to weather and scheduling per the Pool Director's discretion. Bath house facilities are available in the pool complex.
The Ice Cream Shop is open from 11am to 7pm seven days a week and provides members and their guests with snacks and drinks. Ordering from the full kitchen menu is also available with poolside service.
Three rooms provide members with distinctive dining and entertainment options. Patio dining is also available off each of these rooms. Members also have the option of dining poolside. Any of these rooms also offer tableside food preparation.
The Galbraith Room was built in 1998 in honor of our founding father, Alexander Galbraith. With a scenic view of the 18th green on the upper level of the club, members can enjoy fine dining or Al Fresco dining either inside or outdoors on the patio. With the ability to hold a capacity of 70 people, the Galbraith Room may also be used for private functions or special events.
