The Kennedy Museum of Art is located in historic Lin Hall at The Ridges on the Ohio University campus. Named in honor of Edwin L. and Ruth E. Kennedy, the Museum features significant collections including important southwest Native American textiles and jewelry, and a renowned contemporary print collection. This world-class institution brings to the University and the region a wide range of permanent collection and traveling exhibitions, educational programming, and special tours. The Kennedy Museum is an integral part of the educational, research, and public service missions of Ohio University.

The Kennedy Museum of Art collections include more than 8,000 objects drawn from a broad range of cultures. The Kennedy Museum possesses a unique and culturally significant collection of Southwest Native American arts and crafts. This extensive collection includes more than 700 weavings, primarily Navajo, and more than 1200 jewelry items and silverwork.

Additionally, collections include a renowned post-1945 print collection, 20th century American Art, works on paper, and a notable collection of African art. Consisting of more than 300 objects, the Museum's African art collection includes textiles, sculpture, jewelry, clothing, and ceremonial items, from Nigeria, Liberia, Mali, Cameroon, and Zaire.
