Our exhibits of toys and trains from every generation are sure to bring a smile to your face! Our scale model of downtown Wheeling and our Ohio Valley room are great for the heritage minded tourists out there, and our operating train layouts are fun for everyone!

We are the IDEAL destination for your school group (check out our new educational programs on our "Especially for Teachers" page!), church or youth group, the PERFECT activity for your Family Reunion, and the ULTIMATE stop for the whole family, either when coming to Wheeling, West Virginia, or when just passing through the area on Interstate 70!

The Kruger Street Toy & Train Museum in Wheeling, West Virginia, was the winner of the 2000 Grand Victorian Award for Victorian building restoration, presented by the Victorian Wheeling Society! Check out our new "Museum Restoration" page to see for yourself!

Since 1999, the Toy & Train Museum has also been the host site of the Annual Marx Toy & Train Collectors National Convention, held Father's Day weekend in June each year. Also each June, the West Virginia Mego Meet comes to town! Elsewhere on this site, you will find information on these annual events, as well as memories of past conventions and events!

Located in a restored Victorian-era schoolhouse, the Kruger Street Toy & Train Museum features guided or self-guided tours (whichever you prefer), interactive displays, operating O and HO gauge train layouts, a unique and family friendly gift shop, a room dedicated to Ohio Valley history and culture, and a restored railroad caboose onsite. Our building is fully handicapped accessible, air conditioned, and has ample free parking onsite. And the building itself is a sight to behold!

And then there are the toys - you'll see thousands of toys of all types and ages, from dolls and dollhouses, to toy soldiers, trucks and cars, trains planes and ships, Western toys, space toys, cartoon characters, ride-on toys, and just about anything else you can think of to bring back those great memories of childhood!
